After "The Acqualuce Years" collector edition of Burning Gates and The Elysium Facade "Trichotomy" Box, Swiss Dark Nights presents another remastered box, exploring the history of one of the most fundamental Italian Gothic rock acts – later re-named into THE SPIRITUAL BAT, but remaining band-members.

The 4CD Collector Box includes remastered versions of early band releases,  deleted for ages: "Spiritual Bats" vinyl EP, a unreleased tape of band rehearsal, "Confession", a complete remixed and remastered version of "Sacrament" EP and the album "Through the Shadows". A journey across 4 different CDS, spanning from 1993 to 2008, featuring four different line-ups. There is a chronological order, except for the bonus tracks on CD1. When you listen to those tracks, you will be flash-forwarding in time (from 1993 to 1998). These bonus songs are actually from the 1996 “Confession” album, but recorded by the “Sacrament” line-up during a rehearsal at Ultrasound studios in 1998, before a one-off US show, at Alchemy Mondays, CB’s Gallery, on August 3rd 1998. The band and label included these tracks on CD1 with the vinyl ep, because…  there was room! And because the make-do sound quality of the cassette-tape, is somewhat more compatible with that of the debut vinyl, than it is with the later, professionally recorded releases!

We are told this is a true collectors’ item, reserved for those who can appreciate the music beyond the hiss!

Marking the change from the plural to the singular name, this album was originally conceived and recorded by The Spiritual Bat in their home studio as an instrumental album with programmed drums, but later vocals and acoustic drums were recorded and mixed by Claudio Mura, in a garage in Serrone.
